Prospective Members

Saint Mary of the Snow Society is the oldest mutual aid society in New York! Our society honors the Patron Saint of Sanza, Italy, Our Lady of the Snow. Our organization is made up of two branches:

 

The Major Society is the original society, founded in 1888. Today, the society is open to male persons over the age of 16 of Sanzese descent, or of Italian descent who are married to a person of Sanzese descent.

 

The Ladies' Auxiliary was founded in 1950, and is open to female persons over the age of 13 of Sanzese descent, or of Italian descent who are married to a person of Sanzese descent.
